Subject Taught: Science

Why do you love your subject? My love of Science, Chemistry in particular, stems from my fascination in how Chemistry overlaps with Physics and Biology as chemical principles underpin the physical environment in which we live, as well as all biological systems. Furthermore, I believe it plays a major role in providing the comfortable modern lifestyle we have and it contributes to the success of the economy and to society more broadly.

What university did you attend and what did you study?
I went to University College London (UCL) for my Undergraduate Degree and studied BSc (Hons) Biochemistry. I then completed my PGCE and an MA in Education for my Postgraduate Degree at Brunel University.

What do you want for our students at Waterside?
My aim is to give every child the best possible opportunity to flourish and develop into caring, well-educated, disciplined and employable young people. I hope to aid in making a difference and contribute to the lives of each student so they can make the most progress and achieve the highest outcomes.

Interesting Fact:
Whilst at University, I trained at Lord’s Cricket Ground.
