- Teacher Training
We train all of our staff to very high standards.
All of our training is based on evidence of what works, not what the latest fad in education says we should do. Our training is based on the explicit direct instruction (EDI) model.
We have partnered with the Boleyn Trust as the secondary delivery partner for the region's Teaching School Hub (TSH). This is also in conjunction with the Ambition Institute materials. In fact, one of our leaders is the Ambition Institue’s visiting fellows responsible for the early careers teachers in the region.
In 2022 we will be training early career teachers as part of the TSH SCITT. This is a very exciting opportunity that will enable us to develop even more outstanding early career teachers.
We work closely with the Teaching Apprentice Programme (TAP) allowing new trainees to learn on the job. In 2021 we trained over 40 new teachers through this fully funded route. Many of these successful trainees are now permanently employed in the trust.
We train our staff exceptionally well. In fact, working at CST will make it easier for you to get a job elsewhere. Not that we want staff to leave, but if they do, it is nearly always because they have secured a promotion.
Working in the CST means you will have a positive impact on the world. You will improve the lives of hundreds of children. We look forward to receiving your applications to work with us.
