Michael

Michael Raminto left Waterside Academy in July 2025 and during his time in year 11 he was identified as a student that could be part of our Prestigious Colleges Programme. He worked with his Mentor, the Careers Advisor and his teachers who identified the City of London School for boys as a potential post 16 destination for him.

City of London school is an independent school in the heart of the city with a very rigorous and academic profile.

Michael took the necessary examinations at CLS, was interviewed and was successful in gaining a bursary place worth over £60,000 over the course of two years in the sixth form, following his excellent GCSE results.  

Michael showed dedication and worked very hard to achieve his GCSE results and was proactive in ensuring that he met the necessary criteria to join City of London School. 

We are very proud of him and wish him every success in the future. He is a great example of how Waterside Academy can elevate a student position in life, working with them and their family to achieve great results.
